With Pete Morris and Liam. We've lost the sun and the wind is a bit light and too far off to the W .... but doable.
Finally, after a few false starts, the sun starts to break through and a decent climb out. Almost zero drift. Pete is just visible below on the ridge.
Heading north along the Mallerstang ridge, unsure whether to take the dark clouds and big shade or the sunny side. In the end chose the middle line along the sunny edge,
Sunny, but blue to the east.
Approaching Worlds end. A rather messy sky.
In retrospect the best line but with a dodgy knee I was afraid of a walk out. Headed more to the NW.
