Clouds started developing after 1.30pm. Mostly over the south end of the ridge. Note the convergence line(?) to the north. It was still there until 6pm.
Base around 4100'. Clouds started having reasonable depth and all worked OK.
Chris pushing forward.
The beautiful Mallerstang ridge.
Start of one of the climbs to base.
Stunning views.
Arriving at base ... into cloud at 4200'
Much later, after getting back we took off at 5.20pm from Tailbridge. Perfect conditions and thermic (valley release?). Crossed to Mallerstang, heading down the ridge..
Pushed about a kilometre off the south end; now heading back north along the crags.
Smooth ridge and thermal lift back to Tailbridge.
